WHAT IS THE PRIZE COMPETITION?

Future Textiles Prize Competition is all about students presenting their ideas about smart textiles. The following requirements must be respected:

  • Your entry must contain a description and presentation of your idea
  • The idea must be your own/developed by you or your group, which will be checked by Future Textiles
  • Your idea must contain textiles in some way
  • Your project can consist of written material (in English or Danish only), video, websites, products, sketches and much more
  • Your project entry must contain an English summary
  • The rights of your project/product must be in accordance with those of your university/college
  • Participation is open for college and university students only

WHY HOLD A PRIZE COMPETITION?

Knowledge Centre for Smart Textiles hosts a prize competition to give you a chance to present your ideas about future textiles. Your ideas must have a commercial potential and be relevant to companies that work with sportswear, work wear, home textiles, fashion clothes, furniture fabrics, carpets or other textile related products. However, we do not expect participants to create a product that is ready to be marketed.

By participating in the competition, you will help to draw attention to smart textiles and inspire companies to use modern textile technology in their products. This is a unique chance for you as a student, to present your ideas to business leaders, researchers and other important players in the textile industry.
