Piezoelectric Materials

Hi,

I was just hoping somebody will be able to advise me on a conductive thread piece I am creating.

The conductive thread is stitched into my fabric with a battery supply and a speaker. BUT I need to make the conductive thread respond to touch so think I need a piezoelectric someting!?! Any advice, tips or good lucks would be mega appreciated!!!!

Are you using a microcontroller? Refer to this tutorial to get your project started. The only problem you may run into is not having into surface area using the thread (the tuturial uses conductive fabric) to get a reading for the change of resistance.

You can also use this capactive sensing code.
