I am a final year millinery student and have settled of the idea of using smart materials in my work. The look of the hats will take inspiration from couture clothing but will have added features.

What i am asking is - are they any online tutorials which go into a bit more depth on the whole "smart" area?

(ideas i had was a hat that the brim gets bigger when the sun comes out, a hat that changes colour when you need to apply sunscreen and i am toying with the idea of one that features optics or video screens??)

I have done some research but as im very new to this is dont really know where to turn?
