What do you make? (please answer so I know you're human & not a bot)
I am currently working with glass, textiles and sound as it relates to my performance and installation practice; specifically experimenting with cymatics and translation of two-dimensional drawings/ maps into sonic forms.
About Me:
I am an interdisciplinary artist and curator fascinated by the interrelationship between everyday activities, the spaces we move through and the stories we tell. I am interested in provoking unconventional and playful ways of experiencing story and space.
Through performance, site-specific installation, and intervention, I seek to interrupt how we traditionally use and interact within common spaces; encouraging audiences and participants to break from routine; to journey off predictable paths; to examine what often goes unnoticed and question the familiar. In my process-based works, I often place myself under extreme conditions of time, space and order, where routine activity and expectation is interrupted or under scrutiny—to both tragic and comic effect.
Recurring in my research and creative explorations are aspects of mapping, navigation and intersection (between public/private, virtual/real, scripted/accidental).
