i love flu mask! do the inks react to the user's breathe? i'm not sure if the mask is too thick for the warmth of your breath to change the patterns...

Profile Information

What types of Crafts do you make?
My study focuses on ‘printing’ using smart textile materials such as thermo chromic, photo chromic, and crystal ink colors.
I am researching how to use Thermo-Chromic colors in different temperatures, finding thermo chromic colors’ potentials, and detecting poetic and emotional potentials of textile to prevent from dematerialization and dehumanization. Mixing craft skills with new technology, in order to show innovative textile design concept for now and future, is my subsequent step.

Marjan,

We are currently conducting research for a new book by Sabine Seymour called FUNCTIONAL AESTHETICS to be launched in the fall 2010. Sabine's previous book FASHIONABLE TECHNOLOGY (www.fashionabletechnology.org) published by SpringerWienNewYork (www.springer.at) in 2008 is critically acclaimed. Besides being the Chief Creative Officer of her company Moondial (www.moondial.com), Sabine has accepted the position of Ass. Prof. of Fashionable Technology and Director of Fashionable Technology Lab at Parsons The New School for Design (www.parsons.edu).

We are looking for wearable projects/products that have been realized recently and are either conceptually interesting, research projects or commerical products. Are you currently working on any projects in this field? If you are interested in having your work published please include a list of your wearable/fashionable technology projects/products. Please include dates, short descriptions, images and links.

we are interested in your termo masks... please send us more infos and pictures.

Best,

Ricardo Nascimento
