Interactive Wear AG from Starnberg, Germany is developing a set of electronic kits for wearable applications targeted specifically at designers.
Each kit comes with a range of electronic components from textile-integrated solar modules and heating elements to communication networking devices and LED lights. All kits include user documentation and contain all the parts required to build fully functional interactive fashion prototypes. The best part is that all the components can be freely combined together.
Conductive woven fibers
Below are the four kits that will be available:
• iSolarX - Efficient wearable technology platform for textile integrated solar components
• iThermX - Flexible wearable textile technology platform with heating elements
• iComX - Proven wearable technology platform for communication devices integrated into textile products
• iLightX - New wearable technology platform for the integration of
light sources into textiles
The kits run from 50 € - 150 €. Release date for kits is currently unavailable.

From the looks of the examples above they could use the fitness of a designer's touch.
It's great to see a growing range of tools becoming available to crafters and designers interested in wearable tech. I'm curious to see how easy/difficult these kits are to use and am particularly interested in the iSolarX and iComX kits. I couldn't find very much information on how the kits are programmed. In order for the kits to be useful, there must be a user-friendly software application that allows you to easily program the functionality of the wearables.
