E-textile LED Matrix Display

Stef Verheijen (aka Steffest) is a web developer with a passion for tinkering. His latest creation is a an 8 x 8 LED matrix e-textile display. He used superflux RGB LEDs and conductive thread.

The project was certainly labor intensive and took him about 4 evenings to meticulously sew the LEDs onto the fabric. His intention is to create multiple modular LED matrices to create a scalable display.

This e-textile experiment is also part of a greater project currently in development — the Tweetshirt. The Tweetshirt will display your twitter feed on your shirt. Looking forward to seeing the working prototype.
