As a side note, the Found Sound wearable prototype was created as an interaction study to examine various gestures that could be used in future wearables. By beginning with an abstract concept, it allowed me to create more playful gestures (i.e. touching of both wrists together) as means of controlling electronics.

Gesture is still a relatively under explored area when it comes to wearables. My instinct as a designer is to move away from traditional push buttons switches (even if it's made using soft circuit techniques) and study how we more intuitively interact with our own bodies in space.

For example, people (typically woman) place one hand on their waist when they are standing. Some even gently tap their fingertips along their waistline. How can simple observable behaviors such as this be translated into a useful gesture in controlling wearables?
