Stitching on jean pockets is a form of branding for most high-end denim companies.
Original Fake, a denim company based out of Japan, adds a new flair to their Fall/Winter 08 collection by creating stitching on their pockets that illuminates at night.
I'm assuming they are using phosphorescent threads to achieve this effect which means they will only stay illuminated for a only few hours. Currently only available in Japan.

Why is this important?
Yes if you can get your hands on phosphorescent thread you can easily create your own intricate illuminated wearables (which you can BTW), but it's important to note that high end street fashion is taking small steps in embracing fashion and technology. By using smart materials in their designs, the fusion of fashion + tech is slowly being introduced to a collective conscience of a mass public.
