InflataCorset
The InflataCorset is a heart rate sensor-initiated inflatable corset. When the heartbeat reaches an excited, panic state, a wireless heart rate sensor triggers the air pump. Then, the corset inflates. The external pressure of the vest on the skin calms the nervous system and returns the heart back to a resting rate.

Really ingenious to read how you did it. Back to my comment on the Quality, I was more concerned about the poor "Picture" quality with a blurry image rather than the rest, the "theme" I am not a huge fan of it but this is just my personal preference. There is no better video available than the 240p of Youtube?

For this model, we hacked a blood pressure monitor for the pump. When the heart rate increases past 89 BPM [customized for this person], a wireless Heart Rate Sensor is read by the Arduino and that triggers the pump. Then, the corset inflates for 20 seconds to build uniform pressure. The pressure slowly releases as the pump is turned off. It is timed to be like a deep diaphragmatic breath.

nice one - i like the styling, too. it's like a life vest for everyday situations. :)
i was wondering what you used as an air pump and if it's possible to control the flow of air both ways, i.e., can you inflate it and then deflate it in response to the heart rate?

Pity the video does not do Justice to this concept (Quality, Theme). I like more and more the idea of wearing something showing that I am "Human" or that I have a "Soul", something that will work/behave independently of what I am doing.
