ISEA 2009


For those of you in Europe, Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts (ISEA) 2009 conference will be taking place on August 23 - September 1 in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. ISEA is an international nonprofit organization fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organizations and individuals working with art, science and emerging technologies.

The conference this is loaded with AMAZING speakers/artists in the e-textile and interactive fashion arena.

On Wednesday, 26 August 2009, there will be a wonderful panel on "Wearable Materialities". The panel will include the following speakers:

On Thursday, 27 August 2009, there will be a keynote presentation Moritz Waldemeyer the technologist behind Hussein Chalayan's amazing techno-fashions.

The keynote will be followed by three sessions on Interactive Textiles that should not be missed. The first, Interactive Textiles I: Time and Form includes the following speakers:
