Now not only can your clothes
sense but they can also
communicate with each other. I am THRILLED that the tools to create wearables is rapidly expanding and the latest is the LilyPad XBee.
Co-developed by
Kate Harman &
Rob Fauldi, the
LilyPad XBee is a new sewable and wearable radio available now from
Sparkfun. It can be paired with a variety of sensors and output devices to create complete wireless wearable systems.
So what can you make with the XBee? How about a pair of the
Xbee Ninja Wireless Gloves.

Made with a Lilypad Xbee, an XBee radio, a 9v battery and an LED, the wireless gloves secretly communicate morse code to each other. Watch the video below for a preview.
