You know wearable tech has become the hottest trend when Macy's introduces a tacky "video" sweater by Sean Jean (P Diddy's fashion line).
The sweater has a sleeve that fits the "Video Name Tag" video display, whose slogan, by the way, is "Take your Advertising to the next level with Personal Signage."
Yes the worst of wearable tech "body advertising" is officially here. I hate to sound righteous, let alone naive, because I am acutely aware that the fine line that separates Chalayan's video dress and Sean Jean's video sweater is context and execution.
Which brings me to acknowledge that context and execution is king when it comes to design — any design — and especially of fashionable objects to be worn on the body.
