Designed by Emily Carr students James Hallam and Vanessa Whiteley, Qora is an adaptive technology that helps stroke survivors deal with short term memory loss. 

The wearable system consists of an interactive glove  embedded with an RFID reader, a wireless headset and RFID tags that can be attached to objects. In conjunction with a headset, the gloves are used by a caregiver to record audio narratives and tag objects with stories.  The same gloves are used by the stroke survivor to sense the tags and playback recorded stories. 

The wearable system gives stroke survivors more independence and alleviates the burden from caregivers to answer repetitive questions about the use and function of everyday object.
