Mr.Kyu Uhm, Samsung’s PC sales and marketing executive once said that the world can somehow expect notebooks with OLED displays. “Probably sometime Q3 next year,” said Mr.Uhm last 2009. “And as soon as it's available commercially for laptops we will adopt it,” he added.
True to his word, Samsung Mobile Display has awed us with its newest 14" transparent OLED Laptop
. Geared with the most advanced resolution and transparency rate, this latest technology is soon to claim the market place. The price is not yet known as this is not yet available for the consumers.
Meanwhile, proving its competence, this gadget has 40% rate transparency. In the industry of transparent screens today, the average rate only boils down to below 25% which is obviously 15% lower than the new OLED notebook prototype. Because of this, it is expected that this will soon be effective for some applications like mp3s, notebooks and smart phones.
This said gadget was presented at the Oled-Association booth. It was actually showcased together with the latest discovery of Sony Ericson called the Xperia Pureness in CES 2010. It is a 1.8 inch cell phone having a transparent screen. In fact, it is even asked by many now if what else is the role of 3Gs when this Xperia is already out.
Today, Samsung 14" transparent OLED Display
is known to have the highest resolution and transparency in the world of transparent screens and the everyone is also waiting for the company to have the same discovery for their cell phones.
