Tron: Quorra Costume

I think I possibly had the best Halloween ever! It's partly due to the fact that I had so much fun running around as Quorra for two nights in a row.

The costume is made from faux leather and EL Film strips. The luminescent panels are removable, velcored onto the leather vest in order to make the top washable. To be frank, the cutting and re-soldering the EL film was quite tricky to work with but I think I managed to the tame the beast with the help of conductive fabric tape. I will write up a tutorial on how to work with the EL film in the next three weeks for those folks who are interested. Meanwhile... here are the rest of the pics.

I happened to run across the Tron advertisement on Sunset so I thought it was a perfect photo op.

very cool! you look amazing. :)

i like the solidly lit colours. adding velcro was a smart move for washing & modifying.

i was at the weho carnival just down the street and took pics of a few tron outfits there. most i saw used el wire but i find that too thin to emulate the actual outfits.

the identity disc was a nice added touch.
