Professors' Bio
Paola Puma is Senior Researcher in Fashion Design Degree of the College of Architecture of the University
of Florence. She performs activities of research at the Architecture - Design, History, Project - Department.
Lorenzo Capineri is associate professor of Electronics at the Department of Electronic Engineering of the
University of Florence, Italy. His current research activities are in design of ultrasonic guided waves devices
and pyroelectric sensor array, signal processing for pipes and landmines detection with ground penetrating
radar.
Troy Robert Nachtigall, fashion designer graduated at FIT, currently teaches courses at the University IUAV
of Venice, University La Sapienza of Roma and the Institute of European Design.He invents new ways to
dress and present fashion for lines such Calvin Klein, Jean Paul Gaultier Jeans, Hugo Boss, Hermes and
Emilio Cavallini.
Riccardo Marchesi is an electronic engineer with 25 years experience in R&D of textile machinery and
technical textiles. He is Managing Director of Texe srl that specializes in metal fabrics for electromagnetic
shielding and interior design. His current research activities at PlugandWear.com are conductive fabrics and
interactive textiles.
