Technology is a great communication tool — we use it everyday to connect and communicate with each other. But how can technology be used as a vehicle to connect us with nature?

Dana Gordon wants us to tune in to nature via her wildUrban Radio currently on exhibit at Harvard University as part of the Ecological Urbanism Exhibit (March 30–May 17, 2009).

Her novel device allows you to eavesdrop on your surrounding wildlife.

I know this has nothing to do with wearables or smart materials and I generally don't blog about interactive media art, but I thought a wearable version of this particular concept could be interesting. I personally would love to wear a headset that blocked out all the urban noise and allowed me to directly tune into my natural environment as I stroll through the chaos of the streets of Los Angeles (and yes, I do walk around LA).
