syuzi's right. even their el patterns appear to have wrinkles while filming. if you look at the one large photo of hedlund, kosinski, lisberger and bridges, zoom in on the outfit and you'll see creases, bends and imperfections on the glow patterns of the suit. i'm sure there might be other behind the scenes photos showing it as well but they still light up.

i came across oryontech as well in my research. a very costly route if you were to copy what they did.

hah, yeah, I figured that out the hard way on halloween night just before i went walking around dallas. Next time I'll remember to have seperate el wire between joints! :-)

it's actually not EL Tape. It does use EL Technology but it's printed on textiles. Oryontech are the folks
(I think from my research) who supplied the technology. From working on my costume, EL tape simply isn't flexible enough to endure a long photo shoot. The film cracks at points of the body where you bend around (ie waist).
